Detecting Giardia cysts in faeces in just 10 minutes during a busy surgery can be invaluable in diagnosing young dogs and cats with diarrhoea. The parasite is also commonly associated with chronic diarrhoea in older animals. Stored at room temperature for 16 months the test is both economic and diagnostically practical.
